Additional Treatment Techniques
Myofascial Cupping and Kinesiology Taping
Additional techniques that may support your recovery.
During your appointment I may recommend myofascial cupping or kinesiology taping if I believe they could help support your treatment.
These techniques are never used routinely. Instead, they're selected when they're appropriate for your individual symptoms, goals and recovery.
Myofascial Cupping
Rather than offering cupping as a treatment in its own right, I occasionally use silicone cups during treatment where I feel they may be helpful.
They can be a useful addition alongside hands-on soft tissue therapy and movement, particularly when working with areas of muscle tightness or restricted movement.
Like all of my treatments, cupping is only used where appropriate and will always be discussed with you beforehand.
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology tape may be used to provide short-term support during everyday activities, exercise or rehabilitation.
Some people find it helps them feel more confident moving, provides additional sensory feedback during movement, and provides additional support between appointments. It is used alongside hands-on treatment and rehabilitation rather than as a replacement for them.
Every treatment is tailored to you.
No two appointments are the same. Some clients benefit from sports massage alone while others may receive stretching advice, rehabilitation exercises, myofascial cupping or kinesiology taping as part of a personalised treatment plan. The focus is always on selecting the techniques most appropriate for your individual needs.
Not sure what treatment you need?
You don't need to decide whether you need sports massage, deep tissue massage, cupping or taping before you book. We'll talk about what's bothering you at the start of your appointment and I'll tailor your treatment accordingly.
